Who We Are:  We are Cane Corso enthusiasts that as a family enjoy showing our dogs in conformation events. We have owned Cane Corso since 2000 and have been actively showing our dogs since 2006.  Our first breedings were primarily to provide our family members and friends with great family/home protectors. We retired our first dogs in 2005.  During our formative years we set goals of improving our dogs overall "Type" and temperament which led us from 2005-2007 to import our first purely Italian bred Cane Corsi and to date we have been actively showing their offspring within the AKC and UKC where we have Championed many of them. In the near future we look forward to expanding our success to the working field.

Our Principles:

1.    Produce healthy Cane Corso with sound temperaments.
2.    Ensure that our puppies go to families that will provide attention, love and
       lifelong homes.
3.    Provide unmatched customer service.
4.    Compete and Win in conformation and working events.

The (IL) CANE CORSO ITALIANO a brief history:

The Cane Corso is an ancient breed who's roots date back some 2,000 years. It's believed that the Cane Corso was developed by the Romans by breeding a Coursing "running" hound to descendants of the now extinct "Canis Pugnax" This breeding allowed the Romans to utilize a powerful yet agile war dog that aided in security of the Roman Army supply trains and its livestock. Over the years the Corso has been utilized in a variety of ways: property protection, gladiator, hunter and various other physically demanding jobs. In present times the Cane Corso is still being used in much the same way. Its natural protectiveness makes it an ideal guard dog and it's athletic abilities make it suited for a variety of demanding jobs.

Click the link below to watch a great video of the Cane Corso that gives a brief history of the breed as well as a brief overview of its reconstruction.

Pronunciation of "Cane Corso": The Cane Corso is an Italian name and it is pronounced with the Italian pronunciation. Most people new to the breed have trouble pronouncing the first part of the name. The first word "CANE" is pronounced as you would read the following letters "KAH-NAYE" and not like "Sugar Cane". The second word is pronounced as it is read "Kor-so" I hope this helps everyone.
