*14-16 FEB 2009: Vincenzo and Jim attend their first AKC show in San Jose, CA. Just spectators, but it was a great experience. There were over 1800 dogs entered into this event and we were able to meet many of the Judges and handlers that participated in the 2009 Westminster Dog Show.
* 21-22 FEB 2009: "VINCENZO" wins BEST IN SHOW at our first UKC event in Claremont, CA, he is well on his way towards his UKC Championship.
*20-22 MAR 2009: We had a sort of round up of Ballard dogs at the UKC Carolina Classic it was a great time. Ballard's Chuco, GG, Lina, Vegas, Lola, Eva, Aramis VDL, Xina SB were present along with Arrenga de la Palm.
"ARAMIS @ 2.5 yrs old" in his first show in over 1 year goes out and Wins RESERVE BEST IN SHOW and 2 X Best of Breed at the UKC Carolina Classic.
"XINA @ 17 months old" in her show debut Wins Best of Breed, 2 X Best of Winners and places 3rd in the Guardian Group.
"Ballards BOGOTA @ 9 months old" Wins 2 X Reserve Winner. He's got a bunch of potential we expect great things from him in the future!
"Ballards EVA @ 12 weeks old" places 3rd and 4th out of over 20 puppies in the junior puppy matchs! Way to go EVA and the Williams family!

*10-12 APR 2009: We attend the UKC show Dallas, NC and with help from the Williams family;
Aramis wins 2 X Best of Breed and 2 x Group 2nd place earning him his UKC Championship!
Xina wins 1 X Best of Breed and 1 X Group 2nd place earning her her UKC Championship!
Bogota at 10 months old wins 3 X Best of Breed, 2 X Group 1st and 1 Group 2nd place earning his UKC Championship!
Lolita wins 2 X Puppy BEST in SHOW's, she is well on her way to earning her championship!
*13 APR 2009: In her show deput VDL's Bonnie of Ballard wins the Best Puppy in Show!!!
*17-18 APR 2009: Vincenzo earns his UKC Championship and places 3rd and 4th against stiff competion within the Guardian Group. Great job Ana and Vincenzo!!!
*20 APR 2009: Oronzo and Fantasy arrive from Valle dei Lord Kennels in Italy. Like to give a big thank you to Luigi and to Wendy at Apex Cane Corso for helping Luigi with getting the puppies here. Thank you!
*24-26 APR 2009: The CCAA Nationals, we werent able to make it there, but we want to give a Big Congrats to all the participants and especially the winners.
*Memorial Weekend May 2009: Xina wins Best in Show in Misc. class at the AKC show Hampton, VA. Great Job, Jason and Stacy Williams.
*JULY 2009: Xina goes Best of Breed at the AKC event on Sun. Greensville, SC
*01-02 AUG 2009: UKC event Winston-Salem, NC: This turned out to be a great event. Our dogs did very well at the breed and Group levels!
Show#1: Ch. Aramis wins BOB and places 2nd in Group out of 5 dogs, this was the only show we entered Aramis into and he did outstanding, nearly winning the group. The judge said that it was really a toss up between Aramis and the winning dog, of which went on to win Best in Show!
Show#2: Ch. Xina wins BOB and 3rd in Group out of 5 dogs.
Show#3: Ch. Xina wins BOB.
Show#4: Ch. Bogota wins BOB and places 3rd in Group out of 5 dogs.
Additionally, Ballard's Eva wins Best in Show in Junior Showmanship and wins Best Female x 2 and Best of Winners
*Sept. 2009: Eva wins 2 x BIS Misc. and Ch. Xina wins 1 x BIS Misc. wins at the AKC in Raleigh and Pinehurst, NC
